LEADERSHIP

Phi Theta Kappa provides many opportunities for developing and demonstrating leadership. These opportunities exist in our chapters, on our campuses and in our communities. As stated in Phi Theta Kappa Leadership Development Studies, "Leadership is not a static condition. It is a constantly changing process of developing yourself and helping to develop others." For this reason,  plans to implement the Leadership Hallmark include activities for building leadership skills, both within and  outside our chapters.

Phi Theta Kappa encourages members to take on leadership roles inside and outside the chapter, spearheading efforts to make a difference for both members and the wider community. These activities, projects and events may at first seem like they are Service-related, Scholarship-related or Fellowship-related, but if our chapter members are the visionaries, strategists, champions and organizers of them, then they are also relevant to the Leadership Hallmark.

  • Include activities offering leadership training to your college student body as a whole.

  • Include at least one leadership activity on the Regional Level, such as seeking a Regional Office or hosting a Regional Event.
